The Importance of Social Customer Service

Like us at National Association For Medical and Dental, Inc.

In route to the office this morning I thought this a great idea for our blog. Customer service. Every morning we have a sales team meeting emphasizing the importance of taking and making those calls to you our customers and interested customers, and the team eats it up. The meeting's are great because Sarah E. the sales team manager stresses the positive and leads a supportive ear for our sales reps, which in turn encourages them and all around makes your call in experience a pleasant one.
I value the importance of customer service. I refer my friends and acquaintances to a great customer experience and product. I will drive for miles for a great customer experience.

"People that have a positive experience with a company's customer service department will likely tell two or three others about their experience, according to Consumer Affairs website. Therefore, quality customer service can be a source of promotion for organizations. Contrarily, a person who has a bad customer service experience will likely tell between nine and 20 people." - chron.com

It would be our honor if you called for a list of providers in your area. 1-866-824-7896.

Good Dental Health Is In Style

Cosmetic Dentistry:
Have you noticed the 'fame ' dentists are getting lately. It's cool to go to the dentist, definatly for a whitening, but having a nice smile is a fashion statement.

1-800-DENTIST®, the dental profession’s largest patient lead-generation company, made a special “guest appearance” on the August 21 and 28 episodes of HBO’s Emmy®-nominated TV series, True Blood.
1-800-DENTIST® provided True Blood with an exhibit booth for a scene taking place at the Festival of Tolerance rally for vampire rights, as well as a variety of signs offering vampires services like “fang whitening” and “discounts for vampires over 1,000 years old.”
also added “Supplying True Blood with props was a blast,” said 1-800-DENTIST® founder Fred Joyal. “We were very excited to have the opportunity to be part of such a hugely popular HBO series. It shows that 1-800-DENTIST® isn’t afraid to think outside of the box, or in this case ‘coffin,’ to spread our message of good oral health for everyone, even the undead.”
If you've gone to the movies lately, you'll notice a trend there too. One of Django's main character's was a dentist, just to show how fiercly important your dental hygenine is.
Our point being please do your self and your smile a favor. Be current, above average, take care of your dental health. Call for a list of providers in your area! 866-824-7896.

Family, Health and the National Need for Oral Care

My family left town for my Grandmother's Funeral this past week and it left me thinking of the importance of health care. If your anything like me, which I'm sure your not because we are all original, you understand the importance of health care, but didn't understand just how important our oral health is.
I took this from my personal favorite for healthy information,
US Department of Health and Human Services. Oral Health in America: A Report of the Surgeon General-- Executive Summary . Rockville, MD: US Department of Health and Human Services, National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research, National Institutes of Health, 2000. The terms oral health and general health should not be interpreted as separate entities. Oral health is integral to general health;
However, not everyone is experiencing the same degree of improvement. This Surgeon Generals report addresses the inequities and disparities that affect those least able to muster the resources to achieve optimal oral health. For whatever the reason, ignoring oral health problems can lead to needless pain and suffering, causing devastating complications to an individuals well-being, with financial and social costs that significantly diminish quality of life and burden American society.

That's where we at NAFMD come in.

Soda, Your Teeth, and Your Health

Good Friday afternoon. This is a sensitive subject for most, and being that mayor Bloomberg had alot of difficulty passing his 'supersized' law, which many agree his heart was in the right place, I thought it best to bring the issue up again. I had a late lunch today which envolved the grocery store, and there I always notice the large consumption of soft drinks (people across North America use different words to identify a sugary, carbonated soft drink. but however they say it, they're talking about something that can cause serious oral health problems) and the topic of dieting.
Soft drinks have emerged as one of the most significant dietary sources of tooth decay, affecting people of all ages. Acids and acidic sugar byproducts in soft drinks soften tooth enamel, contributing to the formation of cavities. In extreme cases, softer enamel combined with improper brushing, grinding of the teeth or other conditions can lead to tooth loss.
There is a problem with the mass consumption of softdrinks in America.
Larger serving sizes make the problem worse. From 6.5 ounces in the 1950s, the typical soft drink had grown to up to 20 ounces by the 1990s.
Children and adolescents aren't the only people at risk. Long-term consumption of soft drinks has a cumulative effect on tooth enamel. As people live longer, more will be likely to experience problems.

Children, adolescents and adults can all benefit from reducing the number of soft drinks they consume, as well as from available oral care therapies. Here are some steps you can take:
  • Substitute different drinks: Stock the refrigerator with beverages containing less sugar and acid such as water, milk and 100 percent fruit juice. Drink them yourself and encourage your kids to do the same.
  • Rinse with water: After consuming a soft drink, flush your mouth with water to remove vestiges of the drink that can prolong exposure of tooth enamel to acids.
  • Use fluoride toothpaste and mouth rinse: Fluoride reduces cavities and strengthens tooth enamel, so brush with a fluoride-containing toothpaste such as Colgate® Total®. Rinsing with a fluoride mouthwash also can help. Your dentist can recommend an over-the-counter mouthwash or prescribe a stronger one depending on the severity of the condition. He or she also can prescribe a higher fluoride toothpaste.
  • Get professionally applied fluoride treatment: Your dental hygienist can apply fluoride in the form of a foam, gel or rinse.

This blog is an information site for you. We keep it current, informative, and interesting. This is our key to success. Showing up to service you and yours.

The Huffington Post, one of my favorite reads, listed this today and we agree because your health, matters.
Whether you suffer from depression or are just having a case of the winter blues, there are things you can do right now to help brighten your day. It's easier than you might think. Just pay attention to those little lessons you teach your kids!
1. Do something physical. Get out of your mind and into your body. Do yoga. Ride a bike. Or just stretch and take a walk. Anything to get your body moving. If you really want some fun, grab a hula hoop, dance around your living room, or play a game of hopscotch.
2. Get creative. You don't have to be a trained artist to make art. Do something creative, whether it is coloring on a napkin at a restaurant or taking a photo with your phone. The finished product doesn't matter -- it's about the act of being creative and looking at the world around you for little details and capturing them.

3. Self-soothe. Use your five senses. Taste. Smell. See. Hear. Touch. Taste a bite or two of something yummy. Smell for pleasant smells around you -- flowers, perfumes, lotions. Listen to calming sounds or music you like. Look for tranquil or beautiful sites to focus on -- perhaps a tree outside your window or a painting of an ocean. Keep a stone or something textured or comforting in your pocket to touch and ground you. Pet your pet. You can also use imagery, meditation or prayer. Guided visualization/meditation techniques or prayer can be incredibly soothing, or just imagine yourself on your favorite vacation. Close your eyes and feel the sun on your face and the sand under your toes.

4. Take care of your body. Eat well. Drink water. Keep a regular bed time. Take care of any physical problems. These are things that may seem small but can definitely affect your mood.

5. Have fun and be silly! Let your inner child (or real child) be your guide. Blow bubbles, play games, make a snow angel, or try to get a slinky down more than three steps. Not only is it fun to act like a kid, but it keeps you in the present moment, instead of ruminating on the past or future. So go wild! The possibilities are endless.

Hope this information helps. If not, hope it was an affirmation to what you already believe.http://www.huffingtonpost.com/danielle-hark/emotional-wellness-tips_b_2853687.html?ir=GPS%2520for%2520the%2520Soul
